Social Media Lead
We're looking for a Social Media Lead to build and grow Pupsli's presence across social platforms. You'll be the voice of our brand online—creating content that resonates with dog owners, building community, and helping us reach new audiences while staying true to our values.
About the role
At Pupsli, we believe social media should feel authentic, not corporate. We're not looking for someone to post generic content and chase vanity metrics. We want someone who genuinely loves dogs, understands dog owner culture, and can create content that makes people smile, nod in recognition, or share with their park friends.
This role is about more than just posting—it's about building real community online. You'll engage with dog owners, respond to comments, find and share user-generated content, and help foster the same friendly, welcoming vibe on our social channels that we want users to experience in our app.
You'll have significant creative freedom to experiment with different content formats, platforms, and approaches. We'll measure success not just by follower counts, but by engagement quality, community growth, and how well our social presence supports our broader mission.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute our social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, and emerging platforms
- Create engaging, on-brand content including photos, videos, memes, and written posts
- Build and nurture our online community by engaging authentically with followers and dog-related content
- Identify and collaborate with dog owners, micro-influencers, and pet content creators
- Monitor trends in dog owner culture and pet industry to create timely, relevant content
- Curate and share user-generated content that showcases our community
- Track and analyze social metrics, reporting on what's working and experimenting with new approaches
- Collaborate with product and engineering to surface user feedback and community insights
- Represent Pupsli's voice and values in all online interactions
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience managing social media for a brand, with demonstrated growth and engagement results
- Strong portfolio of creative social content across multiple platforms
- Excellent writing skills with ability to adapt tone for different platforms while maintaining brand voice
- Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms
- Understanding of platform-specific best practices for Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter/X
- Video editing skills (comfortable creating short-form video content)
- Strong aesthetic sense and basic design skills (Figma, Canva, or similar)
- Genuine passion for dogs and understanding of dog owner culture and communities
- Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently in a remote environment
Nice to have
- Experience in pet industry, consumer apps, or community-focused brands
- Photography skills or experience creating original photo content
- Background in community management or customer engagement
- Experience building social presence from scratch or during early-stage growth
- Active personal presence in dog-related online communities
- You have a dog who's ready for their social media debut
Compensation
$90,000 - $120,000 base salary + equity, depending on experience
