Platform celebrates one year of connecting dog owners with transparency about growth, challenges, and what is ahead.
As Pupsli marks one year since its national launch, the team shared a transparent look at the platform's growth, challenges, and vision for the future.
Year one by the numbers: - 250,000+ check-ins created - 30,000+ users joined - 1,000+ parks on the platform - 85% user retention month-over-month - 90% friends-only privacy adoption
"We set out to build something different—a platform focused on real connection, not vanity metrics," said the Pupsli team. "Our north star has been creating a space where dog owners feel safe, welcome, and genuinely connected to their local community."
Key learnings from year one:
What worked: - Friends-only privacy model resonated strongly - Badge system created delight without fostering unhealthy competition - Community submissions drove authentic park discovery - Weekend morning remains peak usage time
Challenges faced: - Balancing growth with community quality - Moderating reports quickly while remaining fair - Explaining the friends-only model to new users - Maintaining free platform without ads or data selling
Looking ahead to year two, the team outlined priorities: - Expanding park coverage to more cities - Improving search and discovery features - Building more community safety tools - Maintaining commitment to free, privacy-first platform
"We're grateful to everyone who's joined us this year," the team continued. "Every check-in, every park submission, every friendship formed—this is what makes Pupsli special. Thank you for being part of this community."
The platform remains free to use with no plans for paid tiers or advertising.
